Our Mission

We are dedicated to empowering the alcohol and substance dependent male to accept and sustain a life of sobriety.

Wayside House is a long-term residential addiction treatment program for men. Located in central Hamilton Ontario, our program has bed capacity for up to 20 men. Our service in the Hamilton community was established in 1967, and we are registered as a not-for-profit charity. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors and receive funding from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.

While adhering to best practices, we support the client from first contact through our multi-phase program, discharge and aftercare.

Our services are open to adult men 19+ regardless of race, colour, creed, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religion or economic circumstances.
